“Holy shit. I love my life right now. How is this real life?”
Remember that you created this. You planted the seeds, learned how to nurture them in their unique ways, and now the plants have found the sun and are starting to bloom. You don’t know when, how, or what the flowers will look like, but you are trusting the faith you have in the process and your capability.
Focus on keeping the environment primed for growth. You’ve done the physical labor for a while now. Millions of seeds are preparing to bloom because they were tended to in blind faith before founded faith.
Now it's time to hold space for the best possible crop to evolve from a budding idea to low-hanging fruit. This is about gut feelings. Read the environment and adjust accordingly. That’s the best thing you can do right now.
This time in your life can feel like lack, delay, and stagnancy, but in truth, you are putting the lessons around patience and trust into practical application.
Welcome to your “stop and smell the flowers” or “porch sitting” era. This is a brief moment in your life where you can be bored without guilt. Lean into that softness and flow. You are supported by the structures you already have in place. You have built the dance studio, and now it’s time to experiment and play.
Breathing is productive. If that is all you can do, release the guilt around feeling lazy or useless.
You are not lazy or useless just because you need more rest than some or you can’t physically do the same as others.
You are not lazy and useless because you can’t be everything to everyone.
You are not lazy and useless because you need to ask for help sometimes.
YOU ARE NOT LAZY AND USELESS.
YOU ARE RECOVERING FROM A LIFETIME (lifetimes) OF BURNOUT.
HUMANS ARE NOT MEANT TO FUNCTION LIKE MACHINES.
You are loved, valued, and worthy of this downtime. Make the most of it by doing less.
xoxo, Jess
